You may return most new, unopened, unwrapped, unused items, with a receipt, within 14 DAYS of delivery for a full store credit, excluding all food items (such as chocolate, tea and coffee, etc.), sale items, POP-Up Shop items, Seasonal and Holiday items, and custom orders which are final sale. Gift cards, seasonal, holiday, clearance, calendars, used, worn, food, furniture, and trunk show merchandise are nonreturnable and not eligible for exchange. We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four (4) weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

We can ship to virtually any physical address in the United States. We are not able to ship to a PO Box or internationally. Note that there are shipping restrictions on some products.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
We typically ship Monday-Wednesday. Orders placed Thursday or later ship Monday. Shipping is typically UPS Ground. In warm weather, we may include additional insulation. Please insure that the delivery address will not result in the package sitting outdoors for any length of time. We highly suggest shipping where you can receive the package immediately. Restrained Whimsy is not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses or addresses where delivery results in a package remaining in a hot, rainy, or otherwise unsuitable environment. It’s chocolate, and it can melt!
We will not ship when the temperature is 90F or above. When the weather is above 75F, we will include additional insulation. We cannot guarantee the chocolate will arrive unmelted if shipping via Standard Ground. Please bear this in mind before ordering!
