The mirabelle plum appeared in the Middle Ages in Lorraine.  The region now provides 90% of world production and has a Red Label and a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).  The mirabelle plum is today celebrated by different festivals, and transformed into a multitude of products, from jams and compotes to brandies and liqueurs!  Our sugar candy cooked with mirabelle plum transcribes all the deliciousness of this fruit typical of eastern France.

All our TRADITIONS DE FRANCE candies are made by hand, with selected natural ingredients, and following technics of the former “confectionary masters”. From the violets of Toulouse to the red poppies of Nemours, going through the Berlingots of Nantes, our range of products is a formidable and exquisite trip through the different regions of France.

In 1932, Fernande Lagarrigue opened a grocery store in Rieuxpeyroux (South of France) to sell culinary French specialties. Few years later, she opened another store in Grasse (French Riviera) to sell perfumes and products made of Lavender.

This passion for French artisanal specialties was passed along generations, and today her grandson Julien Baillet, together with his childhood friend Romain Guillaume, run the company and keep spreading the French “Art de Vivre” all over the world!
